How To Create A Blog On Blogger
If you’ve chosen to begin your blogging journey with Blogger, this article is for you. This article will walk you through the process of setting up a blog on Blogger and other miscellaneous topics.
What is Blogger?
Blogger is an American online blog hosting service that enables users to publish their blogs on the internet, according to online sources. It was developed by Pyra Labs, which was acquired by Google in 2003.
The blogs are hosted by Google and are accessible via a subdomain of blogspot.com. Additionally, blogs can be accessed via a user-owned custom domain (such as www.example.com) by resolving the domain’s DNS records to point to Google’s servers. Per account, a user may have up to 100 blogs or websites. Until May 1, 2010, Google Blogger (Blogspot) also allowed users to publish blogs and websites to their own web hosting server via FTP.
All of these blogs and websites were required to redirect to a blogspot.com subdomain or to use DNS to point their own domain to Google’s servers. Despite its decline in popularity in the United States, Google Blogger has a large international user base and is available in more than 60 languages.
Along with the more well-known WordPress, online bloggers primarily use Blogger (Blogspot). Blogger is a simple to use platform that anyone can set up in a matter of seconds. Blogger comes pre-loaded with a plethora of templates from which you can choose, and customising the templates is simple if you are familiar with basic HTML and CSS.
WordPress vs. Blogger (Blogspot)
Bloggers have long had a schism between Blogger and WordPress. WordPress is preferred by the majority of bloggers due to its advanced features, plugins, and themes.
The majority of bloggers are unaware that WordPress is a content management system, whereas Blogger is a blogging tool. As a result, WordPress typically has more features than Blogger, which was created specifically for blogging. If I had to recommend a platform for hosting a blog, I would recommend WordPress, though Blogger is acceptable if you are comfortable with Blogger syntax and basic html and css.
WordPress enables the creation of virtually any type of website or blog; there are numerous plugins (both free and premium) and themes available (Free & Premium). I’d recommend Blogger to beginners who are honing their skills; once they’ve mastered them, they can migrate to WordPress in the future.

You can use any Blogger template, whether it’s free or paid. There are numerous Blogger templates available. All you have to do is download the template package. You must have observed here that a zip folder is downloaded, just unzip it.
Step 2: Decompress the File
You should now see a file with the.xml extension inside the extracted package. However, it can be named whatever you want, for example, “template.xml”. Bear in mind that the template’s name is completely up to you.
Step 3: Login to your Blogger Dashboard.
Now, log into your Blogger account with your Blogger login credentials and navigate to the dashboard.
Click on the Theme option from the menu on the left bar.
Step 4: Taking a Look at the Template
To browse your template, navigate to the upper right corner and click on the Ellipsis. From the popup window, select the Restore option.
And now, click the Upload button to begin browsing your computer’s template library. Restore Ellipsis Upload
