Paul Pogba’s failed doping test came to light on Monday and surprised the soccer world.
The Juventus player was subjected to a routine control following the first Serie A match of the 2023-24 season against Udinese. Pogba didn’t play in the match, but his test came back positive for testosterone.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the positive test was due to a food supplement that was prescribed to Pogba by a friend who is a doctor in Miami.
While the particular food supplements are obtainable in the USA, they aren’t in Italy.
