There will be no new UTME for candidates – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has stated that it has not scheduled another examination for any category of candidates on July 3, contrary to information being circulated in some quarters at the time of writing this article.

Dr Fabian Benjamin, the board’s Head of Media and Protocol, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Lagos that the report “is not correct.”

Benjamin pointed out that almost all of the results of candidates who took part in the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination have now been made available to the public.

According to him, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has never announced any form of another examination for any category of candidates since then.

“There has been no scheduling of examinations for any category of candidates.

‘The board’s attention was drawn to a Twitter message attributed to it, in which the board stated that it had scheduled another examination for candidates who scored less than 170 in its examination and that they should report for another examination on July 3,’ he said. (NAN)
